  8. To assign the user into the eDiscovery Administrator role group. Hit the Choose users button.
  9. Similarly the above steps, search and select the user.
  10. After you assign the permissions. review your role group and Save the changes.

After that, we are going to create a content search to find the emails that you wish to export. Here are the steps.

  1. Again in Microsoft Purview portal. Go to the Content search option on the left panel.
  2. Click on New search from the Content search page.
  3. Provide the name for the search and description. Choose the locations you want to search.

Phase 3: Export the Content Search Data

  1. Go back to the Microsoft Purview portal. Click on the content search.
  2. In the Actions, select the Export results button.

Phase 4: Download Search Results

  1. In the Content Search page, click on the Exports.
  2. Select the export job that you created previously.
  3. Copy the Export key and press the Download results.
